After all the pain I went through, I thought no one could love this mistake of a person. I was sure I was broken beyond repair. My husband decided to take it as a challenge. He decided to get on the ground with me and roll in the mud. He didn’t look at me as a broken item. He looked at me as a diamond in the rough. He was there from the night I fully broke into pieces to now. He looked at the broken person in front of him and decided that he could make something beautiful out of it. The five years that followed were full of ups and downs, but he continues to pick me right back up and remind me of my beauty. I might be a misfit made of other broken parts, but I am his misfit. He dusts off the dirt and pushes me back towards the light. I will forever be thankful for the man who decided that the broken woman was worth it all. He is truly the light that has taught me to believe in myself and believe that I am NOT A FAILURE.
